MY JOURNEY YOURS: Atlanta Young Singers comprehensive music education programs for singers ages 7-18

Atlanta's premier choir for youth ages 7-18, ATLANTA YOUNG SINGERS (AYS) makes a real difference now for 125+ talented, committed, passionate children – representing Atlanta’s diversity, 80+ schools, 50+ zip codes, and 11 counties – who will lead and change our world.  AYS serves schools, educators, families, and audiences in all of these communities and is the most diverse community choral program in the metro area. At the forefront of choral art in Atlanta and the U.S., AYS is educating and developing young talented Singers and wowing audiences with innovative programming, professionally performed music, commissions of new American choral works, and multidisciplinary collaborations.  Over 10,000 people heard AYS Choirs last year! This year, we are discovering new ways to sing in person AND using valuable new skills learned from our pivot to virtual programming due to the COVID-19 pandemic to continue our AYS Creating Community ONLINE and IN PERSON programming! So many Alumni tell us: AYS isn’t just something you do; it helps shape WHO YOU ARE.  Our Singers create art EVERY day, guaranteeing that there will be artists, creators, collaborators, AND committed citizens and patrons tomorrow. Founded in 1975, AYS continues to thrill audiences and spark artistic futures, with a focus on youth development, choral excellence, and life-changing experiences.  We are committed to nurturing mentorship, cooperation, and the strong idea of individual commitment and responsibility to the group and its success. All AYS programs are constructed with the goal of advancing and co-mingling Singer leadership, development, creativity, music fluency, composition, and establishment of cultural relevance.
