Center for Navigating Family Change Inc

A nonprofit organization

We are located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, which is a diverse county in the metro-Atlanta area. We also serve parents in other metro counties, including DeKalb, Hall, and Fulton. CNFC provides court-ordered basic education for co-parents going through a divorce in order to help them understand the impact of divorce and parental conflict on their children. We offer the class in English and Spanish. We also offer an advanced parenting class for co-parents who return to the court system seeking modifications of their original orders or custody changes. These cases often involve chronic co-parent conflict that needs to be addressed. The advanced class is a skills-based workshop designed to give co-parents better tools to transform their relationship from an emotional style to a business-like format. We are seeking additional funds to begin a supervised visitation program and counseling/coaching services for co-parents who find themselves unable to manage their co-parent conflict on their own. With additional funding, we can also offer these services on a sliding scale basis to families who would be unable to afford them otherwise. Children deserve to be children and to not have to worry about adult issues and conflict. CNFC strives to help parents learn how to manage themselves so their children can maintain their innocence and enjoy growing up with two loving parents, even if they have two homes.
