Supporting & Enhancing Our Local National Park
Since 2012, Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy (CNPC) has been the official friends group and primary philanthropic partner of Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA). We are the only nonprofit that exists solely to support this national park.
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area connects people to nature, inspires pride, and enhances well-being for all. Together, Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy and our communities celebrate, steward, and share our national park, ensuring its sustainability and benefits for future generations.
The funds we raise helps keep the park beautiful and accessible for all who visit. From improving and building trails, to keeping the river clean, to restoring habitats for wildlife, to funding educational programming, your support makes a real difference. By standing with CNPC, you’re helping to create a legacy of stewardship and care for a place that gives so much to all of us. Together, we can ensure the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area remains a place of beauty, healing, and connection - now and for generations to come.

The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA) is a vital part of our community and one of the top 30 most visited national parks in the country, attracting over 3 million visitors annually. Despite its popularity and the critical role it plays in providing outdoor recreation, education, and wildlife habitat, CRNRA faces significant challenges due to insufficient funding.
Each year, Congress sets the budget for the National Park Service through the appropriations process, and unfortunately, CRNRA often doesn't receive an adequate budget to support the $10+ millions of dollars in deferred maintenance the park has and continues to grow. Additional funds to CRNRA would help address vital projects such as trail maintenance, park improvements, educational programming, and more. That’s why the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy (CNPC) exists - to fill the gaps. We work alongside the National Park Service to raise funds and rally volunteers to ensure the park remains a safe, beautiful space for everyone to enjoy.
Your support matters. By giving to CNPC, you’re helping preserve and support the park for future generations. Every donation goes directly toward improving CRNRA and enhancing the park experience for millions of visitors. Together, we can preserve this incredible resource that so many rely on for recreation, relaxation, and connection with nature.
Thank you for supporting CNPC this Giving Tuesday!
