Covenant House Georgia Inc

A nonprofit organization

Covenant House Georgia (CHGA) is one of the few organizations in the state that provides young people experiencing homelessness and escaping trafficking between the ages of 16 and 24 with crisis shelter and supportive services needed for a more hopeful future.

Our youth put their trust in Covenant House Georgia during incredibly difficult times in their lives. Youth like Georgi-Ann grew up in Jamaica with her grandmother and lived in a community plagued by poverty, food shortages, and crime. At just 14 years old, Georgi-Ann moved to the US to be with her father in hopes of finding a better life but shortly after relocating, she learned her father had been hiding his instability. She was forced to couch surf with him, before she was forced out onto the streets of a foreign country during a public health emergency, completely alone.

When Georgi-Ann came to us, she needed healing and we were here to meet her needs. In our crisis shelter, she received her own bed, three meals a day, and a sense of safety to cling to. Beyond that, she had access to health care including COVID-19 testing and therapeutic outlets to help her deal with the trauma of her past.

By supporting Covenant House Georgia on #GivingTuesdayNow, you can help us fund an urgent need for every young person who calls Covenant House Georgia home.
