Georgia Public Policy Foundation Inc

Established in 1991 as Georgia’s first independent, non-partisan, free-market and state-focused Public Policy Think Tank, the Georgia Public Policy Foundation has conducted scholarly research and analysis of state public policy issues and worked to educate citizens, policy-makers and the media. 

The Foundation is market-oriented in its approach. Its philosophy is that good public policy is based upon fact, an understanding of sound economic principles and the core principles of our free enterprise system – economic freedom, limited government, personal responsibility, individual initiative, respect for private property and the rule of law.

The Foundation hosts more than a dozen events each year throughout the state that allow members to meet and discuss issues with political, education, media and business leaders. Past speakers include the President of the United States, U.S. Speaker of the House, Supreme Court Justices, U.S. senators, representatives, presidential candidates, ambassadors, state officials, governors, members of the national media and area business leaders.Our mission is to be the most respected and influential source of public policy research, analysis and education in Georgia.

Unique — No other organization in Georgia does what we do.

Effective — Throughout our history, the Foundation’s research and ideas have helped set the agenda, define the question and structure the debate about public policy in Georgia.

Objective — The Foundation specializes in nonpartisan, fair and balanced assessments of critical policy questions.

Practical — The Foundation’s orientation is explicitly practical rather than theoretical or "academic," providing easily readable, readily understandable and usable research and ideas.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
