Good News at Noon Inc

Good News @ Noon serves the community of Gainesville, Georgia by ministering to the homeless, the hungry and to local youth. The ministry was founded in 1987 by Gene Beckstein after a 37 year teaching career. Each year, Good News @ Noon provides tens-of-thousands of meals, temporary shelter year round, and thousands of hours of youth development and mentoring. 

 

Recently, funding was raised to purchase the land around the main Good News @ Noon campus.  This land hosts 4 buildings that are structurally sound, but require significant renovation before they can be used. The vision for these buildings is to develop them into facilities that further serve the community, including a gymnasium, a youth learning center, and sports fields, among other things. The expansion will also allow the repurposing of current facilities to better serve the needs of the homeless and hungry, as well as prepare adults for improved life opportunities.  

The first building project we will pursue will be to develop one of the buildings into a gymnasium and added classroom space.
