Hands of Hope Clinic

Hands of Hope is a nonprofit medical clinic which gives “hope” to the underserved and uninsured residents of Henry County through quality medical and dental care resulting in individual and community health and well-being. The clinic is easily accessible and conveniently located on the campus of Piedmont Henry Hospital and operates thanks to the dedication of volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and others.

According to The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: County Health Rankings (2019), 15% (over 21,000) of Henry County’s adult residents are uninsured. Hands of Hope Clinic, founded in 2004, continues to be the ONLY charitable medical and dental clinic in Henry County. Our mission is to provide quality healthcare to restore patient’s health, and to give them the knowledge and resources to self-manage their conditions. As a result, this will reduce unnecessary hospital visits, ensuring the hospital is better equipped to handle the greater needs of the community. 

Through our Medical Program, we treats adult patients with primary care needs, as well as chronic medical conditions (such as hypertension and diabetes).  The Medical Program provides primary care and specialist (Cardiology, ENT, Urology, Podiatry, Orthopedics and other specialties through community partners) visits, laboratory and radiology services, free and/or affordable medications through the Prescription Assistance Program, additional assistance through the Diabetic Self-Management program, health and wellness classes, and individual and marriage/family counseling. Through its Dental Program, HOHC provides dental evaluations, diagnostic x-rays, tooth extractions, simple fillings, and preventative hygiene visits. Hands of Hope also provides Well Woman Visits, a bi-annual Eye Clinic, and a yearly Flu Clinic.
