Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Heal!

Healing Hearts & Horses (HHH) operates as a 501c3 nonprofit with the mission of rescuing horses from slaughter. These rescued equines find a second chance at life through our rehabilitation efforts on our farm. Moreover, we are dedicated to the rehabilitation and healing of children and people in need by extending a heartfelt invitation to groups, including special needs children, foster children, veterans, and first responders, to partake in enriching day retreats and weekends at our farm, where they can forge meaningful connections with these remarkable rescued animals.

Additionally, we aim to sustain and grow our various community programs catering to special needs children, foster children, veterans, and first responders.

Healing Hearts & Horses Programs: 

Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation

As many as 100,000 horses are slaughtered every year. HHH's mission is to save as many as possible and provide them with a lifetime sanctuary. We save the old, abused, and feral horses that are unwanted, buy them from slaughterhouses, and give them a safe haven, working to rehabilitate and restore the health and well-being of these horses, both physically and emotionally. We provide a safe and caring environment and are dedicated to meeting the horses' basic needs, such as food, water, shelter, and veterinary care, as well as addressing their emotional needs. Since our inception in 2020, we have saved more than 40 horses. With your generous donation, we can save more lives. 

Children's Programs: 

HHH understands that horses can offer a wide range of therapeutic benefits to children with special needs and children in the foster care system. Through our work with organizations in our local and surrounding communities, we are able to bring children to the farm for an unforgettable and life-changing experience.  

Horses can help children with special needs in sensory stimulation, physical development (balance and coordination), emotional connection and support, communication skills, social interaction, confidence building, building trust, self-esteem and confidence, responsibility and accountability, stress reduction, coping skills, sense of purpose, overall healing and much more. Since our inception in 2020, we have impacted over 100 children. With your generous donation, we can continue to grow this critical program and help more children.

Military Veteran Program: 

HHH also recognizes that horses can play a crucial role in providing therapeutic support and assistance to Military Veterans in various ways. Equine programs can positively impact their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Specifically, horses can offer emotional and psychological healing, stress reduction, coping with PTSD, improved self-esteem and confidence, social interaction, a sense of purpose, and can help promote overall well-being and a sense of connection. Since our inception in 2020, we have impacted over 60 Military Veterans and their families. With your generous donation, we can continue to grow this critical program and help more Veterans. 

Healing Hearts & Horses is a 501c3 nonprofit that rescues horses from slaughter. We rehabilitate the horses on our farm and invite groups such as special needs children, foster children, veterans, and first responders for weekends at our farm to enjoy these remarkable rescue animals.
