The Inspire Aviation Foundation is motivating and preparing tomorrow's aerospace leaders through engaging real-world experiences today.  Through ASPIRE we are creating an environment where students are excited to learn and their imagination takes flight.  

We are launching our first educational program - ASPIRE!

Aerospace STEAM Program Inspiring through Real-world Experiences! 

We are currently raising funds to develop an online portal to deliver the programming virtually in the classroom or at the student's home. 

The inspiring real-world stories, with embedded grade-level appropriate Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) math and science curriculum, enable students to immerse themselves in the action by solving problems along with the heroes in the stories.  Additionally, students will be expanding their vocabulary, improving critical thinking, and practicing crucial brainstorming and teamwork skills, as well as getting a glimpse of future career opportunities with ASPIRE.

Currently the format of the program is a multi-media packet, including the story line, video clips, academic problems, and interactive projects, provided to educators to be taught in 45 minutes a day over the course of a week in a classroom or virtual setting.  In the next phase of ASPIRE, our goal is to provide all of the material in an interactive online format.  This will make the program available so students can access and experience the stories and lessons on their own.

Long term we want to provide guidance on career paths, mentors, on the job experiences, work programs, and financial assistance for students’ education and training.  We are already establishing partnerships with educational institutions, industry leaders, and community associations, who are thrilled to offer their time and expertise to help students succeed in their area of interest.  The opportunities provided through ASPIRE will make dream careers obtainable for anyone willing to work and learn for them.

The Inspire Aviation Foundation’s mission is to build a world class air & space museum in Atlanta.

The idea of the Georgia Air & Space Museum was born from a group of civilian and military aviation professionals and enthusiasts, who want children from 1 to 100, to dream of flying; not only in earth's rarefied air...but to quote Buzz Lightyear "To infinity and beyond!"

Georgia has a rich history of aviation, manufacturing, transportation, logistics and a growing future in aerospace.  From the early balloons of the Civil War, one of the first WWI aviation training schools, Lindbergh’s first solo, WWII Naval Air Station Atlanta, the Bell Bomber plant and the major socio-economic changes it brought to the South, the home of the one of the world’s largest airlines, one of the world's largest logistical package carriers, corporate business jet production to traveling to space and the challenges of living in new environments – the story of Georgia’s role in world changing history, exploration of new frontiers and the human stories behind the history, are a rich opportunity to inspire young and old to learn why, how and where we came from and the path forward into the future.

The museum will serve as an integral and engaging community space and be the centerpiece of economic development in the Dekalb-Peachtree Airport perimeter.  It will be an event center to meet the community needs, an educational campus to foster interest in aerospace and technical careers, a tourist attraction for the county, an economic industry driver for the state and a center of activity for aviation enthusiasts.
