WHY DONATE TO US?
Mostly Mutts receives no public funding, and we rely on the generosity of private donors, fundraising events, and grants to continue saving homeless animals. The cost of care for each pet that comes into our program can easily exceed $1,000.
Let Us Introduce Ourselves
Since 2004, Mostly Mutts has rescued and found homes for thousands of homeless dogs and cats. Our goal is continued growth through the variety of programs that sets us apart. We spay/neuter all rescues, provide a microchip, and give whatever physical, medical, and emotional care is needed before placing animals in loving permanent homes. With the goal of preventing rehoming, we also offer affordable dog training to the public and free training to adopters for the life of the pet.
Taking Rescue to a Higher Level
We are committed to rescuing not only animals who are young, healthy, or resemble purebreds. We go the extra mile to also save dogs and cats who are injured, old, or have medical issues that cause them to be abandoned. We know that pets like these also deserve a second chance, and we strive to give them that chance. We see beyond grey muzzles, broken limbs, or whatever other tragedy brought them into our care. We will restore them with the promise that they will receive love and care for the rest of their lives.
Commitment to Educate Dogs and People
We provide resources, education, and awareness programs to our community about responsible pet guardianship, promoting pets as valued family members, worthy of life-long protection and love. Our programs strive to reduce the potential for pet owners to become overwhelmed with the care and training of their pets, which can lead to rehoming or abandonment. Highlights of our programs include:
We Give Back to The Community
Our Pet Therapy Program has brought joy and connection to the residents of a nearby assisted living facility. Our volunteer team has demonstrated great commitment to bring joy, and enrich the lives of our senior citizens by bringing our adoptable dogs and kittens to visit with the people who reside there.
