Mountain Wisdom Inc

Mountain Wisdom, Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization committed to fostering healthy teens and families by providing fun-filled, educational and challenging outdoor adventures focusing on environmental conservation and nature awareness.

We see the youth of today as being disconnected from themselves, others, and the natural world.  Nature Deficit Disorder is real for a large percentage of our youth.  Also, the explosion of Social Media in our society has captured our teenagers and they have forgotten the joy of the outdoors.  Wilderness based activities provide many positive experiences to help balance the overly technological life of most youth.  If you are reading this, you are probably already confident in the positive results of our Mountain Wisdom programs.

The Mountain Wisdom Team is dedicated to taking a stand for our youth by providing fun filled, educational, challenging outdoor adventures that focus on environmental conservation and nature awareness. The campers will experience team work, trust building, leadership, honor, fun and social skills.

The campers come from a wide diversity of socio economic backgrounds; many come from single parent and/or low-income families.  Some come from foster homes where there is very little funding for summer activities.  While families are encouraged to pay some portion of the $550 fee for the one-week session, outside funding is critical to provide this much needed program.

With your help these youth will gain a sense of purpose and self-worth which will ripple out into our communities for generations to come.
