Our country’s longstanding tradition of welcoming refugees is at risk.

This is a pivotal time for New American Pathways and the vulnerable refugee and immigrant communities we serve. We face challenge and uncertainty in the coming months. Harmful rhetoric, the likely dismantling of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, and restrictive immigration policy will result in severe consequences for tens of thousands of forcibly displaced individuals and families in Georgia—many of whom have risked everything to escape violence and persecution.

New American Pathways must grow private dollars so that we can continue to deliver vital programs and support to refugees and immigrants living in our communities.

As we celebrate our tenth anniversary, we reflect on a decade filled with courage, resilience, and resourcefulness. We've navigated a global pandemic, resettled evacuees from Afghanistan, Ukraine and other volatile regions worldwide, adapted to changes in public policy and a polarized political landscape that has affected the number of refugees and others welcomed to Georgia.

Our work has taken on a new urgency, as we continue to provide a home and hope to thousands of new Americans already here. Despite what is ahead, New American Pathways remains steadfast in its commitment to helping refugees and Georgia thrive.
