Noor Family Services (NFS): Transforming Lives Through Hope and Advocacy

At Noor Family Services, our mission is to provide holistic support to survivors of domestic violence and their families, with a focus on immigrant and refugee communities. By addressing the unique cultural, linguistic, and legal barriers these families face, we ensure that every survivor has the resources and support they need to heal, rebuild, and thrive.

What We Do

NFS offers a range of trauma-informed and culturally responsive services, including:

• Emergency Shelter and Housing Assistance: Safe spaces for survivors to rebuild their lives.
• Legal Advocacy: Assistance with protective orders and family law services to navigate complex legal systems.
• Supportive Services: Access to food, supplies, counseling, transportation, and more, helping families transition from crisis to stability.
• Community Education: Spreading awareness and empowering communities to break cycles of abuse.

In the past year, we’ve made a significant impact by:

• Serving 300+ survivors and families with comprehensive care.
• Providing legal support to 104 families navigating family law issues.
• Assisting 131 families with essential resources and services.
• Offering housing assistance to 65 families, ensuring a safe and stable environment.

Together, we can help survivors know they are not alone, and that there is always a path to safety and healing.

• $75: It provides two weeks of transportation assistance for a survivor: getting to work, taking children to daycare, and meeting essential needs.
