Remembering Ruthie Rescue

Remembering Ruthie Rescue is a foster based rescue pulling high risk dogs from shelters in the South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee areas. We are a 501c3 organization whose main office is located in Georgia.

RRR was founded in 2012 in memory of a rescue dog, Ruthie, who tragically passed from Parvo while in foster care. That day, founding members Sally & Steve Parker began the journey to creating a safe haven for dogs in need. 

The main focus of our efforts goes to those often overlooked in shelters....senior dogs. Many senior dogs have received some type of neglect throughout their lives, and are in dire health when they come to us. We strive to save as many lives as possible by getting them the medical treatment and care they need. This, of course, comes with big and continuous costs. We need your help to continue our life saving mission.

Here are just a few stories of the hundreds of dogs we have helped:

Miss Olive was found in the woods where she had been left tied up in a trash bag inside of crate. She was discarded like a piece of trash. Thankfully she was found and made her way to our Rescue. She has struggled with trusting humans again...but who can blame her? With a lot of time, patience, and love, she found her furever home and is living out her happily ever after!

Miss Lexi was surrendered by her owners at the age of 12 years old. We quickly learned that not only were her teeth in dire condition, but she had mastitis and was in renal failure from a lifetime of neglect. We were able to find her a loving hospice home for her to live out the rest of her days as perfectly as possible; spoiled and loved unconditionally.

Here are Remembering Ruthie Rescue, every life is special to us regardless of age, breed, size or disability. We believe that every dog deserves to be treated humanely with a chance to live happily and cruelty-free. Please help us make a difference in the lives of these dogs in desperate need of care.
