Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity has a mission that extends beyond merely constructing affordable homes; it aims to foster sustainable and thriving communities. When families secure stable and safe housing, they can concentrate on other essential areas of their lives, such as education, employment, and health.

Hannah Springs, our subdivision of 28 homes located in Lovejoy, serves as a prime example of how Habitat can positively change lives and neighborhoods. We have successfully completed 18 homes in this area, and our project has encouraged other builders to invest in the community, leading to significant economic growth.

Our work impacts health, environmental and educational outcomes; civic and social engagements; the financial stability of Habitat families; and local economies. According to our recent Economic Impact Analysis report, Southern Crescent Habitat's economic impact is approximately $4.8 million a year, which is calculated by the power of the money we spend through local businesses and services.

Each homeowner in Hannah Springs has a unique background, but they share a common goal: to create a lasting legacy for their families and to establish a place where they can thrive. Our homeowners include veterans, entrepreneurs, public servants, and essential workers who

At Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity, we are making a meaningful impact, but we recognize that such change is only achievable through community support. Housing is a fundamental human right, and it is disheartening to witness so many individuals and families struggle to secure safe and affordable shelter. During these challenging times, organizations like ours offer a beacon of hope for the 1 in 7 households in Georgia facing severe financial strain—those who spend more than half of their income on housing.

Thanks to the generosity of community members like you, we have assisted over 450 families in finding stability, self-reliance, and strength through shelter in Clayton, Henry, and Fayette counties. These individuals no longer face the difficult choice of deciding which essential needs they can afford to meet. They are empowered to become active members of society, their children thrive, and their overall well-being improves.

Giving Tuesday is December 3rd and Southern Crescent Habitat invites you to join us as we continue to make a significant impact in the South Metro Atlanta region!

Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity builds affordable homes and completes home repairs for income qualified families, who need a hand up, not a handout. Through education and financial literacy, families are prepared to be successful homeowners.  By partnerships with volunteers and donors in Henry, Clayton and Fayette Counties, their mission of building homes, communities and hope is possible.  Since 1986, we have built, renovated and repaired more than 450 homes.  For more information, please visit us at www.schabitat.org.
