School Is in

School Is In values teachers at Title 1 Schools that do not have PTAs or Foundations for Financial Support. Teachers at these schools often do not receive reimbursement for instructional or organizational supplies, as the Title 1 budget usually goes to making smaller class sizes. We recognize that the lack of funding impacts a teacher's out-of-pocket costs, which data shows is around $700 per year. School is In also values positive student transition into classrooms and equitable classroom environments, and we believe that with proper funding, this transition will improve student outcomes.  

Our mission is to remove the cost associated with setting up a classroom at Title 1 schools that do not provide teacher reimbursement or funding. We also provide financial support to administrators for school-wide projects. We provide 3 grant opportunities for three specific needs within classrooms.
