Tapestry Public Charter School

Tapestry Public Charter School is the only public school of its kind in the state of Georgia! 

As a fully inclusive school (all students learn in the same classroom regardless of their unique learning abilities or challenges), Tapestry is comprised of a 50-50 mix of students with autism and other special learning needs and typical learners.

Since opening in 2014, Tapestry has provided a rigorous and enriching education for a neurodiverse student body in grades 6-12, thereby creating an inclusive, innovative and replicable academic model. 

Tapestry takes a non-traditional 

approach to inclusive learning. A core feature of this approach is our co-teaching model. Each class is co-taught by a general education teacher and a special education teacher who work collaboratively together to optimize learning for all students. This provides a unique opportunity for our school to offer academic rigor as well as critical academic, social, and emotional supports to students who need them within the same classroom. The result? An effective practice of highly differentiated instruction that prepares all students for college and workforce success.
