The Task Force for Global Health was founded in 1984 to solve a daunting global problem: lack of access to childhood immunizations for preventable illnesses.  In just six years, the Task Force and our partners ensured that the number of children around the world receiving at least one vaccine increased from 20 percent to 80 percent, a stunning achievement.   

For 40 years, The Task Force has been part of a global movement to improve the health of children. Despite many global health challenges, childhood mortality has dropped by more than half worldwide since then.
