In this season of thanksgiving, we are reminded how grateful we are to do the work we do. When we high five a child who just learned to swim or the adult who tried their first class, we are inspired by the potential and purpose in all of us. We are in awe of volunteers packing food, teens developing into leaders, seniors becoming family to one another, and
 people like you answering the call for help and making all of this possible.

At the Rome YMCA:

• 1 in 12 people in Floyd County find community through the resources, relationships, and opportunities necessary to learn, grow, and THRIVE!

• Your support enables us to provide a welcoming space for over 7,000 individuals, creating a sense of belonging and fostering healthy lifestyles. Our 2023 Member Survey, revealed the impact the Rome Y has on Members:
  • 84% Maintain or Improve Social Emotional Wellbeing: Your support contributes to an environment where individuals can enhance their social and emotional well-being, creating a positive ripple effect throughout the community.
  • 88% Maintain or Lose Weight: Through our programs and resources, your commitment to our cause helps individuals achieve and maintain their weight management goals.
  • 64% Maintain or Decrease Blood Pressure Metrics: Your support directly contributes to the health and well-being of our community members, with 64% experiencing improvements in blood pressure metrics.
  • 92% Improve Balance and Mobility: Your generosity has enabled us to offer programs that enhance balance and mobility, positively impacting the lives of 92% of our surveyed members.
• Through youth sports, day camps, swim lessons, and complimentary year-round programs, 1,500 young people have the opportunity to develop essential life skills, make friends, and build a foundation for a promising future.
• In 2023, your generosity has helped us address food insecurity, with a remarkable 960,000 pounds of food served and distributed last year, making a direct impact on the well-being of those in need.
• Collaboration is at the heart of our mission, and your support has allowed us to forge partnerships with over 50 organizations, amplifying our collective impact on the community.
