ATLytiCS has had an amazing and busy 2023!
The majority of our funds come from our wonderful private donors and corporate sponsors. Please consider joining them with a donation so we can continue to use data today to bring hope to tomorrow.
Just some of the programs that your donation will go to support:
ATLytiCS' Custom Projects team has been partnering with the Community Farmers Market (CFM) this year in their efforts to develop a local food infrastructure for long term sustainability and meaningful community impact. CFM and Marta Markets provide stands in stations increasing access to fresh produce and reducing food insecurity. Our teams are analyzing rider, supplier and market data to find ways to optimize both the supply chain and the customer delivery system. Stay tuned for our upcoming events to hear their results and learn about the importance of the markets in this Tent Talk podcast.
Our Data for Hope™ Education workforce development program graduated our second cohort bringing the possibility of data careers to the underserved and local refugees in partnership with RefCode, a Clarkston workforce development nonprofit tailored for refugees. DataCamp Donates supported this important initiative to increase representation in the data field.
Volunteers from ATLytiCS and graduates from our education program recently completed a project for Westside Works, a neighborhood-based workforce collaborative. The team analyzed data from a survey of residents, created a digital infographic and summary recommendations to help Westside Works and their partners understand the digital equity, or the lack thereof, in the area.
The Data for Hope™ Competition, sponsored by The Home Depot's generous donation, has taken a fresh look at homelessness amid the pandemic's shifts. The efforts have been strengthened through collaborations with Stryant Investments, who have been revitalizing the I-20 corridor in Atlanta with affordable housing initiatives since 2009, and ARCHI, which works to unify fragmented support systems into a cohesive network aimed at improving the lives of Atlanta residents. These partnerships have provided the competition participants with deeper insights into an issue that plagues many urban areas.
Our partnership with GSU Library continues through 2024. In the PIDLit Data Literacy Learning Lab students from a variety of backgrounds see the importance of data in driving social change through hands-on work. ATLytiCS is one of several local organizations providing expertise on this initiative focusing on food insecurity along with Marta Markets, Panther’s Pantry, and Wholesome Wave Georgia.
Thank you for your ongoing support and generous donations!
