$10,000 goal

This Giving Tuesday, join us in the fight to protect Georgia’s vanishing farmland. Every acre we save together is a victory for local food security, clean water, wildlife habitats, and the rural communities that make our state unique.

Since 1974, Georgia has lost 2.6 million acres of farmland—land that could have been preserved for future generations. At The Georgia Conservancy, we’re working tirelessly to stop this trend, but we can’t do it without you.

Today, we’re asking for your help to raise $50,000 by December 31st as part of our “Save Georgia Farmland” Campaign. Your Giving Tuesday gift will directly support programs that:

  • Help farmers access critical conservation resources
  • Protect prime farmland from development
  • Preserve Georgia’s agricultural heritage for future generations

Every gift you give today will have double the impact! Thanks to one of our board members, all contributions made on Giving Tuesday will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000.

Why This Matters

Our small farms are more than fields—they’re the lifeblood of our communities. They provide fresh, local food, protect vital ecosystems, and pass down traditions that sustain Georgia’s identity. Losing them means losing a crucial part of who we are.

Your support today ensures:

  • Farmers have the resources they need to stay on their land.
  • Prime farmland is protected from development.
  • Georgia remains a place where nature and people thrive together.

On this Giving Tuesday, let’s come together to protect Georgia’s farmland for future generations. With your help, we can make an extraordinary impact—one acre at a time.

Thank you for your generosity and unwavering commitment to Georgia’s natural and agricultural heritage
