Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia's beloved Camp Tanglewood in Augusta sustained significant damage due to Hurricane Helene. Several cabins have been destroyed, a bathhouse is no longer standing, and the lodge has suffered major damage. Additionally, fallen trees are scattered across camp, making it unsafe and unusable for the time being.
Our beloved camp, which has served as a safe haven for so many Girl Scouts, needs our support now more than ever. This year on Giving Tuesday, we're raising funds to begin the process of restoring Camp Tanglewood and to ensure that it's ready for the 2025 camp season.
Camp Tanglewood has been a place of growth, discovery, and lifelong memories for so many of us, and now we are reaching out to ask for your help in the recovery efforts. Your contributions will make a meaningful impact as we work to restore Camp Tanglewood to its former glory and continue providing enriching experiences for future generations of Girl Scouts.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in bringing Camp Tanglewood back to life. Your donations go directly towards repairs and rebuilding efforts and help offset costs for things that insurance may not cover.
Thank you for your continued support of the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia and for helping us in this time of need. Together, we can ensure that Camp Tanglewood remains a cherished place for all.
