My name is Michelle Flowers, and I’m honored to share my story and the heartfelt mission behind Excelsior Village Academies. As a life-long educator and the proud mother of three incredible kids, I’ve devoted my life to nurturing young minds and creating spaces where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired. Today, as the founding CEO and Principal of Excelsior Village Academies, I am reaching out with an invitation to join me in building a brighter future for our kiddos.

A Vision Rooted in Love and Dedication

From the first day I stepped into a classroom, I knew that my calling was more than teaching—it was about empowering, supporting, and providing every child with the opportunities they need to learn and thrive. This vision is at the heart of Excelsior Village Academies. We are excited to announce our new 37-acre campus, a place where learning extends beyond the classroom and into the playground, the cafeteria, and every corner of our school community.

Why This Matters

For many of our students, school is their safe haven, a place where they not only learn but find nourishment and security. We are committed to making sure each kiddo has what they need to succeed—whether that’s a healthy, balanced meal to fuel their growing bodies or a safe, inclusive playground where they can let their imaginations soar.

Playgrounds: The Seedbed of Creativity and Innovation

Why a playground, you might ask? Because playtime is not just a break from learning; it’s an essential part of it. Playgrounds are where creativity and innovation come to life. When our kiddos climb, run, and explore, they’re not just exercising their bodies—they’re stimulating their minds. These moments of playful freedom help them build problem-solving skills, foster resilience, and develop social bonds that are the bedrock of teamwork and collaboration.

This isn’t just play; it’s foundational. It ties directly into the classical model of education, where we lay a strong groundwork for inquiry, expression, and critical thinking.
