Update #1
Thank You for Your Generous Support!
We are delighted to announce that our Giving Tuesday fundraiser has raised an impressive $10,770. This amount will enable us to provide essential resources to hundreds of displaced children in foster and relative care across Georgia. Your contributions will supply children in foster and relative care with:
- Winter wardrobes this season to ensure they are comfortable and warm this winter. ❄️
- School supplies to support their education. 🍎
- Developmental toys to aid in their growth and learning. 🧸
- Recreational items to encourage active lifestyles. 🚲
- Safe infant care equipment to protect the littlest ones. 👶🏼
Your generosity brings stability and hope to these vulnerable children during challenging times. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support and commitment to making a positive impact in their lives.
As the year draws to a close, we encourage you to consider additional giving opportunities. Georgia offers a state tax credit for qualifying donations to nonprofits, meaning your contribution could help you save on your state tax liability while making a difference. Donations made before December 31 can also be counted toward your 2024 tax deductions. See the News section of our website for more details.
Although #GivingTuesday has passed, it’s not too late to give. You can still support displaced children in need by donating through our website or sharing this opportunity with others. Every gift—no matter the size—has a lasting impact.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these children and helping us create brighter futures!
Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and loved. But for thousands of displaced children across Georgia—those in foster care, living with grandparents, or placed with relatives—their reality often includes trauma, uncertainty, and a lack of basic necessities.
The Foster Care Support Foundation is dedicated to changing this. Through our programs, we provide essential items like clothing, school supplies, developmental toys, and infant care equipment—all at no cost to the families who care for these vulnerable children. These resources help children feel included, confident, and capable of thriving, even in the face of adversity.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your support to continue this life-changing work.
Why Your Support Matters
Imagine being uprooted from everything familiar and arriving at a new home with nothing but the clothes on your back. This is the reality for many displaced children. Their caregivers—often grandparents or other relatives—step up without hesitation, but they often lack the financial resources to meet the sudden and overwhelming needs of the children in their care.
Your donation helps bridge this gap. With your help, FCSF can:
- Provide full seasonal wardrobes so kids can dress confidently and comfortably.
- Supply school supplies to ensure every child is prepared for success in the classroom.
- Deliver developmental toys that encourage learning and play, critical for emotional and cognitive growth.
- Offer safe infant care items, like high chairs and strollers, to keep the youngest children secure.
Our Impact
FCSF has been serving Georgia’s displaced children since 2000. In that time, we’ve helped over 79,000 children find stability and hope in the face of displacement. Last year alone, we provided for thousands of kids through our innovative Distribution Program and special initiatives like the Grands Raising Grands Holiday Wish Program and Prom-a-Palooza.
This year, our goal is to serve 3,400 children, but we can’t do it without you.
How You Can Help
On this Giving Tuesday, your donation—no matter the size—can create meaningful change. Here’s how your gift can make an impact:
- $25 provides a child with a backpack full of school supplies.
- $50 gives a child a jacket, mittens, socks, and a new pair of shoes.
- $100 supplies a child with a bicycle, a craft, and a building set encouraging physical activity and creativity.
- $200 outfits an infant with critical items like a crib, stroller, and high chair.
- $300 provides a child with a full seasonal wardrobe, shoes, accessories, school supplies, developmental toys, safe care equipment, recreational items, and more!
Every dollar brings us closer to ensuring that no child feels forgotten or invisible.
