CDF ACTION: Transforming Early Learning

CDF ACTION is a not-for-profit organization that collaborates with residents and partners to strengthen a community's capacity to ensure healthy, safe, joyful, and culturally responsive early care and learning. 

CDF focuses on transforming policies, programs, and places to be equitable for all preschool children and their families.

 We are deeply grateful for the support of our partners, funders, and generous donors. 

TOGETHER IN 2023 WE WERE ABLE TO: 

• Offer free, multi-lingual early learning and family engagement programs in community settings, benefiting 70 refugee and immigrant children in Norcross and DeKalb
• Screen children for potential developmental delays, using the Ages and Stages 3 Questionnaire, ensuring timely intervention and individualized learning
  
• Increase access and facilitate a smooth transition for children into Georgia Pre-K
• Host the 10th annual Clarkston Tell Me a Story! Festival with storytellers, free books, and literacy activities for over 300 attendees
• Organize the second annual Clarkston Early Learning Fair, which attracted over 150 participants.
• Sponsor the first DECAL Early Learning Dialogue, in collaboration with IRC and other partners, providing information and an idea exchange for 60 case managers and others who support families.
• Launch the 16th United Way of Greater Atlanta Learning Spaces program at Peachtree Creek on Ponce benefitting 20 residents and their children.
• Create the first Clarkston Story Walk at Friendship Forest, with children’s books in permanent stands and open to the public
