Please support my fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Atlanta!
Friends, please join me and #StandWithRefugees! I’m committed to raising $400 to help the locally-funded Atlanta office of the IRC to continue welcoming and serving refugees from crisis zones around the world as they rebuild their lives here in Georgia. No donation is too small!
I chose to support the IRC in Atlanta because refugees are promised certain protections and support from aid agencies, however, I recognized that there is uncertainty due to a lack of federal support for refugees and those seeking asylum throughout the country. There also seems to be a lack of understanding about where a majority of refugees come from, what circumstances force them to leave, and what can be done to help them in the long run!
Any potential funding will contribute to the costs needed for resettlement, housing, and basic necessities. The main goal of this fundraiser is to ensure that all refugees have access to the resources that we take for granted such as clean water, freshly prepared food, and sanitary products.
As I stated above, no donation is too small and I believe that any help is better than no help. Simply sharing this fundraiser with other people will get us closer to our goal! One voice can make a difference and even the seemingly smallest amount of support can help one individual or family seeking asylum.
Please commit to this work alongside us and make a donation to support our new American neighbors and the IRC in Atlanta today! Some sources that I found to learn more are linked below!
Thank you for standing with refugees!
